A label, launched into headwinds
Hallel Music launched in 2007 as a small independent Christian label, just as the recession hit and the industry turned from CD distribution toward streaming. Amid that upheaval, and a personal loss, the label was set on the back burner.

A 24/7 station for independent artists
Alongside the label's early releases, Hallel Music also ran Hallel Music Radio — a continuous streaming station where independent artists submitted songs for review, with selected tracks added to the rotation. It launched in step with the label's first CDs, Rainy's "One Precious Moment" and Chris Dickson's debut. The original blog is still online →
Back, and broader than before
Hallel Music relaunches in 2026, now built to carry work across country, dance, Christian, progressive rock, and jazz. Its first project and single: "Still Blood," from Padgett and Coyote.
